Blog of Thanks!!

I want to begin by thanking Professor McDevitt and all of my fellow classmates....

I do not think I could have finished this course without all of you.  I found it very difficult to actually come up with goals both short term and long term goals and have background information on early literacy to prove all of my points.  Once I was directed on the right path(thank goodness for Professor McDevitt!) I found it easy to advocate for my belief in early literacy.

Throughout this course it has been a battle to fight for what I believe in...early literacy and to help my school district I did my fieldwork at believe in my goals therefore helping us achieve them.

I want to finally thank my fieldwork site for all of their support and dedication during my last two internship classes.  I could not have accomplished what I have without each and every staff member in that building.  All of the staff took me under their wing and help teach and guide me in their daily duties.  For that I will be forever greatful!!!

I wish all of my fellow classmates much success in their future endeavors and know that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to!

Thanks again!!

  1. Hi Lisa
I am happy to see you have overcome your challenges! I thank you for the support you have given me in both classes 450 and 455. I have learned it is not easy to advocate and pursuade others to get on board. This course was challenging however we all stuck with and now we are at the end. I wish you much luck and I pray this not the end of your educational goals and advocacy issues. I am happy to have interacted with you and read your blog post. Good Luck!!!

  2. Hello Lisa,
As one of your fellow classmates, I want to say good luck to you and much success in all that you do. This has been a eye opener as we researched, and encourage each other. This Internship II class has made all of us stronger.

As you fought for what you believe in, I know that the children and the families that you serve will be rewarded by your action advocacy plan. Early literacy is worth fighting for, and I know that within the district where you are your advocacy action plan will be met with much success.

You too can and will accomplish everything that you set out to do, continue to believe in yourself.

  3. Thank You!
I appreciate the feedback that I received during this course. It was very helpful in terms of developing and presenting my action plan. I learned so much from you all through the blogs and discussions. This action plan was defiantly something that I will never forget. It was challenging but we did it. I would like to thank all you for your support and will see you all at graduation!

  4. Hi Lisa,
I also thought both courses were and challenging. I'm glad that you overcome your challenges and obstacles. I was wondering how was your presentation on early childhood literacy. I also did my presentation on early literacy. I 'm interested in what you present to your group. I would like to say thank you for you kind words and your gave me the opportunity to express my feelings. I hope this experience gave you the opportunity to pursue your dreams in teaching. See you at graduation!

  5. I struggled in this course as well mostly with understanding how to word things. I feel strongly as well that the fight against childhood obesity is every one's responsibility and we need to start teaching them young. I feel that as a Early Childhood educator I'm not just a teacher but I'm a supporter of my families and I need to be willing an able to do that whenever I can. I understand that I'm a role model for both my parents and students. I have to be able to share my passion with others in an appropriate and productive way. I wish you all the best in your career and hope you reach you goals! Congratulations!!!!!
